8:00 AM - Noon
PETROLEUM CLUB OF LAFAYETTE - 111 Heymann Boulevard
Lots of classmates showed up, and the decorations that committee members had worked on for ages, went up quickly and easily.
8:30 AM - Noon
PETROLEUM CLUB OF LAFAYETTE - Lounge - 111 Heymann Boulevard
A couple o dozen of Mrs. B’s chorus students showed up—from more than just our class—along with many of the decorating volunteers who drifted in and out! Drew Massicot presided at the baby grand in the Lounge Room, and singing old favorite of the 60s transported everyone to another time!
Drew’s sister, Mary, had taken all of her old reel-to-reel footage (7 CDs’ worth!) of Mrs. B’s tapes of us singing, and burned them onto thumb drives that she made available to us. What a great souvenir—thanks, Mary!
1:00 PM until …
LA FONDA - 3809 Johnston Street
Dutch Treat
The crowd that showed up filled up seven l-a-r-g-e tables—and were in great spirits even before the margueritas were served! The wonderful food and atmosphere had not changed one bit!
7:00 - 11:00 PM
PETROLEUM CLUB - 111 Heymann Boulevard.
The Club had prepared wonderful hors d’oeuvres, followed by an incredible dinner buffet, soft drinks, punch & coffee. The turnout was immense, with a number of classmates who were not expected, showing up and registering at the door. There were stations for photos, memorials, award voting, and a classmate arts showcase.
There were so many of us, the class photo had to be taken in two groupings! A DJ provided music for dancing, Drew and some of the chorus members re-grouped around the piano, and friendships were renewed throughout the evening.

Hamilton Hall on the UL Campus
(611 McKinley Street)
Hamilton Hall was built in 1940 as a laboratory school and was used for that purpose until the late 1970s. It was renovated in 1986 and reopened in 1988.
Those who showed up were walked through the first and second floors—and the attic, now remodeled into chic faculty offices. We were able to peek into the basement, where geoscience lab equipment has filled the former cafeteria and kitchen.
Some of the classmates were heading directly home, but several adjourned to Piccadilly for an impromptu breakfast.
1:30 - 2:30
CARMELITE MONASTERY of Mary, Mother of Grace -
1250 Carmel Drive (Breaux Bridge Highway)
A Catholic Mass to honor those classmates who have passed away. Father Hampton Davis presided with grace—and humor.
3:00 - 4:00 PM
